Austcorp Property Group has announced the final phase of its Bayview development in Darwin.
To be known as “The Boulevarde”, the master-planned development will comprise 1,175 dwellings, a dual-carriageway boulevarde, a dedicated entrance from Tiger Brennan Drive, plentiful street and secure underground parking, cycle paths and an extension to the existing Bayview sea wall and walkway system.
Subject to obtaining environmental and planning approvals, Austcorp plans to start construction in 2016/2017, with the first 100 to 150 apartments and townhouses ready for occupation in 2017/2018.
The development is just five kilometres from the Darwin CBD. It will include quality three and four-bedroom townhouses with spacious basement garages and storage space together with a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments in two to eight-storey buildings.
A key feature of the development will be:
- secure underground parking running the length of the boulevarde
- up to two car spaces per apartment
- generous parking spaces for visitors
- on street parking
Austcorp is planning a quality master-planned development with covenants to control building design and a high standard of body corporate management. A convenience store and café will be established in the first release of apartments.
In addition, there will be plenty of open space including a waterfront heritage park surrounding O’Ferrals Rock, plus a public jetty with restaurant, playgrounds and a mangrove walk (subject to approvals) in the final phases of development.
